Celine Li

Celine Li

Celine Li was born in China in the 80s. She currently lives and works in Copenhagen.

The surrealist poet and artist Leonora Carrington once described art as “a magic that dissolves time.”

In Celine’s creations, we can witness the tangible embodiment of this magic : through her depictions, everyday life becomes dreamlike, time seems to freeze, and she crafts a private space for viewers to immerse themselves in undisturbed appreciation at any time. Simultaneously, she combines traditional Chinese paper-cut painting with contemporary art , with her gentle nostalgia for memories, she creates a surreal atmosphere guiding people into the subconscious.

In terms of form, she skillfully combines Eastern and Western artistic traditions, allowing delicate and bold brushstrokes to harmoniously intertwine in her works, creating a distinctive sense of surreal beauty.
The static, transcendent figures displayed in her paintings possess a characteristic of our era –solitude – a crucial and timeless human emotion.

Fitlea Yang

Fitlea Yang

Fitlea Yang has long been creating art with a romantic and childlike attitude. In his work, MOY does not clearly point to an individual; it could be anyone. He explores the human spirit from different perspectives, thus observing and expressing the world to gain new freedom.

Fitlea Yang uses oil painting as a medium combined with the traditional techniques of Chinese meticulous painting, but he is not confined by traditional themes. He extracts the “Chinese knot” from traditional Chinese culture as a painting element, serving as the “connection” between MOY and the outside world. His paintings are simple and bright, relaxed, and imbued with a vitality that he bestows, thereby providing a stronger imaginative space for our associations and reflections.

In a tiny world, one can see heaven and earth. Ultimately, what Fitlea Yang wants to convey is still “warmth” and “hope”, using the most childlike, pure, and sincere way of expression to warm and heal all who view his paintings.

Winwin Young

Winwin Young

Winwin Young takes everyday “sights” as the subject and content of her paintings. The many “objects” she depicts are precisely her points of contact and pause with the world. As Hegel once said, “What is well known is not necessarily understood.” The most commonplace objects, scenes, and people are often, ironically, the most easily overlooked under the guise of familiarity.

However, Winwin Young resists this forgetfulness of life. She chooses the ordinary and makes it the enduring force in her work. Combining traditional Chinese gold leaf craftsmanship with oil painting, she uses the most primitive brushstrokes to reveal the power of color, forging a new, equal, and mutually accepting relationship. These objects represent another kind of unrestrained existence, free from definition, reawakening the artist’s gaze from within. They reside quietly and solemnly within the painting, rejecting any symbolism or allegory, allowing the extraordinary within the ordinary to become a continuous flow of time.

 Chen Jin

Chen Jin

Artist Chen Jin, through his unique creative approach infused with meditation, transforms expansive, abstract canvases into profound reflections on nature, traditional culture, and the real world. His works, distinguished by rich textures and layered compositions, create a visual language that oscillates between narrative and abstraction, embodying a direct dialogue between the artist, the medium, and the materials.

The surfaces of his paintings are imbued with deep emotion, serving as a form of visual storytelling that invites viewers to reflect on personal memories—shared moments with loved ones, experiences of heartbreak, and the journey of self-discovery through meditation. In his artistic world, color takes on a life of its own, seemingly in motion, forming a transient ark that drifts through different times and spaces, evoking the complex emotions of departure and return.

Chen Jin’s creative process is fluid and spontaneous, often incorporating recyclable everyday objects and materials, emphasizing the importance of environment, atmosphere, and lived experience. His approach not only captures fleeting moments of opportunity and transformation but also deeply explores the intricate relationship between art, nature, and human existence.

Danyang Song

Danyang Song

Danyang Song explores emotions and symbiotic relationships through ceramics, inspired by the traditional Chinese philosophy of “ Tian Ren He Yi ” (the harmony of humans and nature). Her work examines the connections between people, nature, and machines, translating intangible feelings into physical forms that reflect the impact of emotions, language, and communication on the body.

She uses coil building, wheel throwing, and 3D printing to explore the relationship between the human body and society. By applying stress to materials, she observes their resistance and transformation, embracing unexpected outcomes. Blending 3D printing with hand-building, she bridges contemporary ceramics with traditional craftsmanship, creating meditative spaces for deep reflection.

Originally from China, Danyang Song holds a Bachelor’s degree from Tsinghua University and an MFA in Ceramics from the Rhode Island School of Design, where she also earned a Collegiate Teaching in Art & Design certificate. She has worked at the Institute of Tea Ceremony Art at Tsinghua University and is currently a faculty member and ceramic studio manager at the School of Visual Arts in New York City.

Her work has been exhibited at renowned institutions and galleries worldwide, including the RISD Museum (Providence), The Blanc Gallery (New York), The Ely Center of Contemporary Art (New Haven), and the Kathryn Schultz Gallery (Boston). Also collected by the Harvard Art Museums and Tsinghua University.

Danyang has received several awards, including the 2024 NCECA Multicultural Fellowship, the Craftsmanship Innovation Award at the 1st Dehua Chinese Traditional Ceramic Biennial, and the Emerging Artist Award from the Cambridge Art Association.
