Five Elements – Fire

Before Copenhagen, there was Guangzhou — my hometown.

The river carries boats and morning light. Magnolia opens in spring. Old streets remain beside new towers. A family watches a kite rise.

This is not a view of the city. It is a memory I still wear.

Fire is the warmth of a place that formed me, and stays after I have gone.
